Thank you for joining us for the Saturday Oct 16th NEQ Woodstock Casino Fall drive next week.

This year the Audi club purchased a mapping program which you can download to your phone for free which will provide visual and audio turn by turn directions (I will also be handing out written directions the day of the drive).

If you would like to load this app, please download “ridewithGPS”. Then click on this link and you will automatically be added to the Audi club list so it will not cost you anything to use the app.

It will ask you to log in a provide an email and name

then go to “more” (bottom right of screen) , then “organization” , “organization route” , you should see “ Audi Catskill Drive 207.4mi “ with the map picture next to it.

This will open the drive, then click “navigate” lower left corner of screen

Don’t forget to turn off the screen saver on your phone so the screen stays visible for the entire drive. You may want to plug in the phone.

Starting Location: Plaza Diner, 27 New Paltz Plaza, New Paltz, NY.

I will be parked across from the Diner in the large parking lot. I will have an “Audi” sign out by my car. If you can park front facing out, that will make it easier for the group to depart.

Duncan Donuts and McDonalds are also next door for breakfast selections.

Check in will be from 9:15 to 9:30 AM. Please do not arrive late, it will delay the entire group. I will hand out the directions. We will have a short meeting in the parking lot to review the drive (or under the overhang of the movie theater by the parking lot if its raining). There will be a leader and follower (sweeper). At this point we have 20 cars. We will depart as one group at 10 AM.

Everyone should have a full tank of fuel to begin. Fuel will also be available at a stop mid afternoon.

Please make sure everything in your car is functioning properly (tire pressure, etc). We will drive with lights on.

Schedule: Times after we depart are approximate.

9:00-9:30 AM driver check in

9:30 AM driver/passenger meeting

10:00 AM depart

12 noon arrive in Woodstock- lunch on your own. Check out the restaurant options online ahead of time.

1:30 PM depart Woodstock

3 PM (approx.) Stop at Sunoco Station Rt 30 & 23 , fuel and bathroom break -15 minutes

6:00 PM (approx.) Arrive at Resorts World Casino, 888 Resorts World Drive, Monticello, NY 12701

GPS: A GPS is not needed, however, if you have one, please bring it. It is helpful to put it in map mode and see turns coming up as well as getting a feel for the curves in the road before you are halfway in them.
